If My people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land – 2 Chronicles 7 ; 14
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me – Philippians 4 : 13
We are used to this verse and we declare it most of the times with our mouth but many times after the declaration, trials come our way and we often forget that this verse works when there are trials and when there are no trials.
We are here on earth in the image of God and His likeness because He created us so. We are created with a very great power which we are yet to know. There is a greatness in the inside of you which is not in any other person. There is a mission which God has written your name and He expect you and you alone with His help to fulfill. The trials are part of the things you need to overcome so that you can get that crown which He has prepared for you.
Anything you do, do it as if there is no tomorrow. Do it as the only opportunity you have to demonstrate that which He has placed in you. No matter how miserable you might feel you are, there is nothing bad with that if you have decided to think of yourself that way but what I want you to remember are:
– He that is you is greater than those that are outside of you
– No power is greater than God who created you in His own image and likeness
– You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus
– You are an overcomer through Christ Jesus
– You are very precious in the sight of God.
– Be patient
– Be hopeful
– Trust God’s promises
Therefore, I want to encourage you to stop demoting yourself because you have all that you need just within you to sail through any circumstances that the devil throws your way or any mistake you might have made in life that is why the Bible says in, Micah 7 : 8 ”Rejoice not against me o mine enemy, when I fall, I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me”.
Father, we thank You for all the power and greatness that You have deposited in us. Lord Jesus, we thank You for what You have done in the cross of calvary through which we have the reconciliation power. Give us the grace Father to stand firm and trust what You have placed in us because it is not to destroy us but to empower us to be an overcomer so that at the end, the glory and honour will be given to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer and put fire therein and put incense thereon and offered strange fire before the Lord which He commanded them not. And there went out fire from the Lord and devoured them and they died before the Lord. Then Moses said unto Aaron, this is it that the Lord spake saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace – Leviticus 10 : 1 – 3
Aaron and his children were called by God and that does not make them to be above God’s commandment. No body is perfect except God Himself. During their service to God, a mistake was made and it resulted to their death.
Aaron was their earthly father and he did not throw in the towel and said it is over between him and God but rather the bible says, ”he held his peace”.
Let’s think about the pains of loosing two children on the same day during their service to God? Yes, many people has passed through trials in life at times more difficult than that of Aaron and others not as difficult as that. The question is, that will not be your portion in the name of Jesus Christ. If you are faced with such trials, can you continue to serve and love God?
Many will give up on God and say that, how can he or she be serving God and He will kill his two children? Brethren, all is about God. He is love, He is peace, He is patient. He is the all in all that we have. It doesn’t matter our trials, let us always hold the peace that He has given to us.
Even Aaron and Moses could not enter the promise land because of mistake. Does it mean that God hated them? NO. God loves them. We are all children of the Most High God and His love for us is constant. He that has called us is faithful.
We should try to always obey His commandments. It is hard, yes, but we will find it easier to do if we accept to die to sin, His grace will be surfficient for us to fulfill it.
PRAYER : Awesome and Great God, may Your name be glorified for ever and ever. Please, give the grace to serve You no matter the trials that might come our way so that Your name will be exalted for ever and ever in the name of Jesus Christ.
