Obey God’s instruction

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel, therefore hear the word at my mouth and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, thou shalt surely die and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness and commit iniquity and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die, because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered, but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous ma, that the righteous sin not and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned, also thou hast delivered thy soul – Ezekiel 3 : 17 – 21.

Most problems we have today as Christians is the issue of not obeying God’s instructions. We always choose to obey man more than God. The above bible verses talked about both the righteous and the unrighteous. No matter how small the instruction might be, all God expect from us is to obey. I want us to ask ourselves the following questions.

Why do we always refrain from obeying God’s instructions? How many people have God sent you to that you refuse to deliver the message? Was it because of the position the person holds in the society? Was it because of the position the person holds in your church? Was it because the person is not a believer? Was it because you doubted that person will not believe you that God has sent you to him? Are you doubting if that voice you heard was the voice of God? Or was it because you doubted yourself that you are not capable to be a messenger God can use?

What ever your answers might be, rethink about the consequences of not obeying that instruction. Any weaknesses that might have been responsible for your disobedience, go back to God and plead for mercy because it is better to be late than not to obey. For us to know the seriousness, of this warning, it was repeated in other two chapters in the same book of Ezekiel – chapter 18 : 23 – 28 and chapter 33 : 6 – 9 and in other part of the bible as well.

You might say O we are in the period of grace because Jesus Christ has come to set us free from any punishment for not obeying God’s instructions in the old testament. Brethren, we should wake up from our slumber because it is not too late for us to restart where we might have missed it because Jesus Christ said that He has come to fulfill the word not some part of the bible but every part of the bible. Some people might say that God forgave Jonah when he refused to go to Nineveh although he later went. Let me ask you, do you have the same grace as Jonah? There is age mate, there is school mate, class mate, street mate but there is no grace mate brethren.

There was a time God gave me a message to one leader, by God’s grace, I did my part by delivering what I was instructed to do but the other person refused to take it. I am not happy to see what has happened to the person and what is still happening to the person till now.

People of God there are great consequences in disobeying God’s instructions. Do your part no matter how you feel about the person. Don’t look or classify the person instead, take it that it is God that is speaking to you. Even if the message dosen’t sound logical and reasonable just obey because in one way or the other, we might be saving a soul and a generation.

PRAYER: O Lord, we don’t have any power of our own. Forgive us in any way we have disobeyed Your instructions. You are a God of first chance, second chance, third chance and fourth chance. By Your mercy, give us another chance my Father and give us the grace to deliver any message You will give to us as from now in the name of Jesus Christ.

 

How to possess the land

Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead, now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses – Joshua 1 : 1-3.

In the above words from God to Joshua, let’s see two things:

• I do give
• Have I given

According to the words of God the ownership of the land has changed and the land has been given to the Israelites but Israel has not physically possess the land and people were still occupying the land. The people need to move with confident without any doubt. Like some christians today, people are in places of no possession. Brethren, until you wake up and make the move of faith, you cannot possess what actually belongs to you. We need to change our mentality and mind set so that we can become whom God has created us to become.

When you have an encounter with God, you should always remember that encounter. People can argue with your theory, with your religion, with the way you do things but no one can argue with your personal experience with God. God’s promise to give you a blessing, no one else can fight for the manifestation of that blessing for you but rather you alone has to rise up and fight for it and possess it. Stop putting your hope and trust on man because the bible says that ”Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord” – Jeremiah 17:5 (New living translation).

If you say you met Jesus and your life remain the same, it is not Jesus Christ of Nazareth that you have met because when you meet Him, your life must really change. When you ignore your relationship with the Holy Spirit, then you will not be able to possess your possessions because the Holy Spirit is the One that will direct you on how you will possess your possessions.

Prayer: O Lord, help us to yield to the direction of the Holy Spirit so that we can possess our possessions in the name of Jesus Christ.

3. Dark decisions, evil pronouncements against Firesprings Ministries and all the members, backfire in the name of Jesus.
4. Serpents and scorpions released against the affairs of Firesprings Ministries and the members, die die die in Jesus name.
5. We break down every altar of witchcraft and occultism raised against Firesprings Ministries in Jesus name.
6. International demons gathered against Firesprings Ministries and our members, we release Psalm 109 against you in the mighty name of Jesus.
7. Every expectation of the wicked concerning Firesprings Ministries and all our members shall scatter in Jesus name.

2020 Reflection

Rejoice with them that rejoice and weep with them that weep – Romans 12:15.

This year was a year full of miseries in the world record due to the pandemic that has changed the way things are done today but it could not change God and His power. God is still the same. It has changed the way we think, the way we used to work, the way we used to relate with one another etc. Despite what has happened, God has been faithful because it could have been worse than this if not for His compassion that never fail.

Many have lost their lives ever since the outbreak of the pandemic which the world is still looking for the solution till now. Whoever think and believe that things like this would ever happened? A pandemic that will bring the world to such situation we are today. You might say why did God allow this to happened despite His great love for mankind? My humble answers wil be, how long have we abandoned God and His instructions, what position have we placed God in our lives and society, what value have we placed on His instructions, haven’t we been trying to control what He has created, etc. No matter what we have done, He is a merciful God and if we can go to Him with the heart of repentance, He will be merciful.

Today, our minds are with those that lost their love ones to the pandemic and those that are still passing through the difficulties. The Lord is with you therefore you are not alone because the word of God says, When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the river, they shall not overflow you, when you walk through the fire, thou shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon you – Isaiah 43:2. According to the opening verse, the word of God instructed us to rejoice with those rejoicing and sorrow with those that are in sorrow. We should allow our minds to be with them no matter the differences that might have existed.

Today is 31st of December 2020, to some of us, how we made it here it is a surprise because you can see clearly that it wasn’t easy. To some it is tears of sorrow and to some tears of joy. The bible says, so then it is not he that willet or runneth but of God that shows mercy – Romans 9:16. It is by His mercy that we are where we are today. Below are some prayers:

1. Thank You Lord for bringing us far this year undermining what has been happening around us in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, forgive us in anyway we have sinned against You and have mercy upon us in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Forgive us O Lord in any way we have despised Your instructions and have been diverted from Your precepts in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Lord we commit everyone that have lost their love ones whether due to pandemic or other ailments this year into Your hands in the name of Jesus christ.
5. Lord we commit everyone that is passing through any negative situation due to the pandemic or any other situation into Your hands because what is in Your hands is safe and secured in the name of jesus Christ.
6. My Father and my God, let Your consoling Spirit rest upon them in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. The vacum that has been created due to the depature of the lost souls, Lord, fill it with your Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
8. Lord, visit anyone on their sick bed and let Your healing power rest upon them in the name of Jesus Christ.
9. Stripes of Jesus, speak over anyone that is sick either physically or spiritually in the name of Jesus Christ.
10. O God, let Your power of encouragement rest upon anyone that has been discouraged and restore back hope and courage to them in the name of Jesus christ.
11. Lord, help us to become a blessing to anyone around us who is in need no matter our situation in the name of Jesus christ.
12. Thank You lord for answered prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.

We complain about what God has already done because we are use to one particular way of life due to experience, advice from our parents or mentor but that is not how God arrange things. The vision of God does not depend on our experiance. For example, we complain about the rain during rainy season and during summer we complain that it doesn’t rain. During winter we want constant sun which we know quit right that the sun might not even show up for about five or more days in some part of the world during winter.

We cannot manipulate God. You might say but it is not bad to complain, yes it is not bad to complain but not with things that God has created with His wisdom and might. Let me remind you that anytime we complain, we are telling God that what He has created is not perfect enough. If we cannot trust whatever He has created to be perfect, which other way can we trust Him. The bible says in Philippians 2:14 – Do all things without murmuring and disputings. King James version.

Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not His word. But murmured in their tents and hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord – Psalm 106:24 – 25. As believers, God does not expect us to complain like those that doesn’t know Him. May the Lord help us in the name of Jesus Christ. We should submit to whatever He has created and thank Him for the opportunity to use those things to the glory of His name.

Prayer: Lord, please, have mercy on us in anyway we might have been complained about whatever you have created in the name of Jesus Christ.

The importance of baptism

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter Him, saying, I need to be baptized by You and do You come to me? Jesus replied, let it be so now, it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness. Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, ”This is My Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased’‘ – Matthew 3 : 13 – 17. (Message bible version).

After the baptism, nothing changed in His physical body but something has shifted in the spirit realm. The bible says that the Spirit of God  descended on Him like a dove and a voice followed. Immediately after the baptism, He was led into the wilderness and He was tested by satan after which He started preaching the way to enter into the kingdom of heaven because He has been empowered. He was not tested before the baptism but rather after. He could have been tested even before the baptism as a child of God but He went to baptized first so that we should know how vital baptism is in the life of a believer.

During His teaching, He explained what will be stumbling blocks or what will deprive us from inheriting the kingdom of heaven. He made us to know who owns the key of life in His hands and who has the authority over everything.

It is the samething when one receives anointing, physically no change is seen but something has changed in the spiritual realm. When Samuel went to go and anoint David in the presence of his brothers and father 1 Samuel 16 : 1 – 13. After anointing David, he has to go back to the shepherd’s field. The spiritual shift starts preparing him for the kingship. The anointing kept him alive no matter how hard Saul tried to kill him, after killing Goliath he didn’t succeed and later what God has said concerning him came to reality.

With the above we should take baptism to be very important. When we go for baptism, we might not see any physical change in our body or the garment we put on, but we should be confident that a shift has happened in the spirit realm. After accepting Jesus Christ into our lives the next stage of a believer is to go for baptism so that our old self will be laid to rest while our new self will rise as we go out of the water.

PRAYER: O Lord, thank You for the gift of baptism give us the grace to be patient so that we can be partakers of the blessings that go with baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer of Deliverance

Everyday we are faced with one or more trials and we need the Mighty Hand of God to deliver us from such trials. At times, we don’t even know that it is a problem because satan will make it seems that it is normal and it takes the grace of God for us to know that such situation is a problem. Below are some prayers that might help you to come out of any difficult situation that you might find yourself. You might ask why should I use the word might? Because it depends on you:

• First, if you are born again – meaning if you have given your life to Jesus.
• Secondly, if you realised that one situation is a problem.
• Thirdly, if you will be ready to follow the instructions.
• Fourtly, if you believe that the prayers will work.

If you have not accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour, you can do so by repeating this prayer after me. Say Lord Jesus, I come to You, I recognised that You came and died for me. I accept You as my Lord and saviour, Come into my life and take permanent resident. Fill my life with Your glory and give me the grace to serve You throughout the rest of my Life. Thank You Lord in Jesus Christ name. Amen. Friends, if you pray that simple prayer, I beleive that you are born again.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness – 1 John 1 : 9

Confess all your sins and don’t hide any of them because He is aware of it. If you can do this properly, it will take you some quality time and I know that is what some of us don’t want. It is not a wasted time anytime you spend with God. You can use the following as a guide:

1. My Father, my Father, I come to You this day with a humble heart and I confess every sins I have committed knowingly or unknowingly against You, cleanse me with the blood of Jesus Christ.
2. Lord, make me whole before You in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Any sin that would have been a hindrance to my prayers Lord, wash it away with the blood of Jesus Christ.
4. Thank You Lord for forgiving my sins in the name of Jesus Christ.

Now to the prayers.

1. Father, You said in Your word that when the righteous cry to You for help You will deliver him. Lord, I cry to You today, deliver me out of any troubled waters in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Psalm 34:17.

2. O Lord my Father, deliver me from any trouble I have entered consciously or unconsciously in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Psalm 107:6.

3. Father, deliver me from ———– (mention the problem) and I will glorify You in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Psalm 50:15.

4. Father, You said in Your word that I will know the truth and the truth will set me free. Therefore Lord, give me the grace to know the truth in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. John 8:32.

5. O God, give me the grace to abide in You so that Your word will abide in me in the name of Jesus Christ. Ref. John 15:7.

6. O Lord, let my ways please You in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Proverbs 16:7.

7. O God, help me to keep Your commandments in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. 1 John 2:4.

8. O Lord, set me free of the pit that have prisoned me in the spirit in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Zechariah 9:11.

9. Deliver me from stubborn enemies O Lord in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Psalm 18:17.

10. Lord, You said in Your word that whom the Son set free is free indeed. Therefore Lord, set me free from ——–(mention the name) in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. John 8:36.

11. O Lord, Let Your kingdom come in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref. Matthew 6:10.

12. Hear my cry O Lord and have mercy on me in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref . Psalm 27:7

13. Give me the grace Lord to fear and obey You in the name of Jesus Christ – Ref . Proverbs 1:7.
