Forgiveness, as defined in the Bible, means to send away the offense, from yourself and the one who offended you. By an act of the will, you release the offender, from the debt owed you and you do not bring it up again.God shows his love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.(Romans 5:8) He forgave us, when we were his enemies. Jesus was righteous and sinless and before he gave his last breath he said,Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34 a) This forgiveness and mercy made a way for us, to receive forgiveness, for our sins (missing the target).
To receive God’s forgiveness, we must release the offenses against us and the offender. Don’t confuse forgiveness with a feeling. It is a decision and act of the will, to let the offense go…
